Alexander Isak has been a hot topic in Liverpool’s transfer discussions this past week, but the chances of a move remain uncertain.
Alexander Isak continues to be linked with Liverpool, though talk of a move remains speculative and far from advanced.
As reported by Lewis Steele, there is a belief that a deal is “definitely not impossible.”
Steele added, “Is it likely?
There’s every possibility that Liverpool go for him.” He currently estimates the likelihood of a move at “about 30%.”
Speaking about the situation, Steele said:
“I think Newcastle are scared because if they’re talking money, they must fear that Liverpool are coming in.”
“Richard Hughes is very good friends with Eddie Howe — if he was absolutely not for sale, then he would know that by now.”
“The fact they’re still sniffing around suggests there is something maybe that could happen in the next few weeks.”

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the club “have no intention of selling Isak whatsoever” and are instead looking to “renew his contract”.
He suggests it could take around “£150 million” just to open negotiations — a figure that puts the Swedish striker well beyond what Liverpool have historically paid for Florian Wirtz.
Liverpool may try, but that doesn’t mean they’ll succeed.”
Isak fits the Liverpool mould, but Newcastle aren’t selling — and Liverpool aren’t likely to pay that kind of price.
For now, it’s a possibility, not a plan.
